My 3rd and 4th Ad :)

Okay, so this is my 3rd ad. I actually really like it. It’s not the best, but I still think it looks pretty cool. So I added the masks to show the party seen where Romeo and Juliet first met. In the back of them, I put a colorful background with lots of color. I did this to really help the poster “pop”. Also, to help it pop, I put the name of the play and the two quotes in blues and purples. At the bottom of the main frame, I put the time of the play to make sure they would see it. Then the left hand side has the full cast list to make sure everyone in the play got the recognition they deserve. Then once again, I put South at the bottom to let everyone know it was made by South students.

This is my fourth Ad. I posted two this week because I want Extra Credit, and also because I think this ad is pretty cool. I chose this background because I tried to show the balcony scene. I made the sky purple because I thought it showed a sort of danger that was soon to happen in the story after Romeo and Juliet confessed their love for each other. I put the name of the play at the top and bottom of the ad so it spaced it out more. In between the name, I put the cast list and two quotes to make sure people would read it. Then at the very bottom, I have the time of the play along with, of course, South.

another Ad :)
Happy April fool’s day!  I still have a lot of time in class so I just made yet another print ad.  This time I made an Ad that shows the more tragic side of Romeo and Juliet.  I made the ad look like it was on an old piece of paper or letter. In the Picture I used a few different pictures. I put a poison bottle to shows Romeos Death. Then I put a knife to show Juliet’s death. Then on the top of them is a rose heart and under this all there are some rose petals and two rings. I put all this together because it shows how such a happy day of their lives, marriage, they soon after both died.  The two quotes I put show the struggle they both fought for love, but sadly lost. Lastly I put south at the bottom because I think it looks good. Also I put it at the bottom because it’s sort of a tradition for me to add it now.

my 2nd Ad :)

My 2nd ad

This is my second ad, though I don't like it as much as the first. I still think it’s good for this play. I put  the name of the play at the top so it moves your eye down word to the actors. I put the name of the play in that font so it shows that this is an old and classic play. I put rose petals and a rose to go with the quote I put.  The quote is “what's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?” I put the date of the play at the bottom so it wouldn’t be lost in the picture and so people could easily see it.  Then lastly I put South at the bottom again to remind people that this play was made by the hard working students and staff at South.

My first ad

My first ad :)

Ok, this is my first print ad for the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. The main picture in the ad is of a statue of Romeo and Juliet kissing. I chose that picture because it shows how Romanic this play is. Then to the left side I have the actors names and there part. On the bottom of the ad are two quotes from the play. They both show how tragic this play truly is. Then the bottom picture is that of Grosse Pointe south. I put that at the bottom to remind people that this whole big play/movie is being made by the hard working students and faculty of South. Lastly I made the title of the play in red to indicate both the Romanic lovey side of this play and all the death.

The next 6 weeks

I'm going to be a print advertiser for the next six weeks. I cant wait to start, I’m still not quiet sure what I’m going to be doing. I know that I’m going to be making some pretty cool posters though, or try my best. I want to show how amazing this play will turn out to be, or at least i think it will be. I plan on trying to capture what the play as a whole is about. I’m also going to try to also make my print advertisements interesting to look at. I want to provoke emotions in people so it helps them understand about the play. As a Romeo and Juliet print advertiser I want to show how sad, happy, and tragic this play is. I want people to look at my print advertisements and think "wow, that play will be really good". I cant wait to see what all the hard work put together will make!
